Discover your true potential
You’re not stuck.
You’re unmapped.
Whether you’re choosing a direction, changing career path, or simply feeling like something’s missing , the answer usually starts with one thing: knowing your abilities, what you’re genuinely capable of.
Most career guidance measures what you’re drawn to. It should be measuring what you’re capable of. YDP was built around that distinction — and the thirty-five years of research behind it.

The Argument at the Core of YDP
Why standard assessments miss what matters the most
Three things are consistently measured in career guidance. Only one of them is stable enough to build a future on.
It’s a variable
Interests Shift
If you’re at university and already sensing something is off about your direction, that feeling is not confusion. It may be the first honest signal you’ve received. A 17-year-old who has never encountered surgery, architecture, or software engineering cannot express meaningful interest in those fields. An interest inventory reflects the limits of their exposure — then draws a circle around those limits and calls it a career plan.
It’s a variable TOO
Personality Evolves
50–75% of people receive a different MBTI result within five weeks of retaking the same test. Personality changes with career progression. A tool that cannot produce stable results across a month cannot reliably orient a career across a decade.
the actual foundation
Abilities Endure
Innate abilities are stable, predictive, and — crucially — largely independent of exposure. They are present before they are discovered. The goal of genuine guidance is to find what has not yet been visible, not to map what is already on the surface.

The Human Cost
Most people are treating the symptom. We start with the cause.
Work-related stress, burnout, and disengagement are not primarily personal failures. In many cases, they are the downstream result of a guidance system that placed people in roles that never used what they were actually capable of.
YDP works with individuals experiencing career confusion, professional dissatisfaction, and burnout — because in many cases, the root of those experiences is not psychological fragility. It is misalignment between innate ability and occupational demand.

The Evidence Problem
Why the tools most people trust were never designed to find ability
The research has been available for over thirty-five years. It simply wasn’t commercially convenient to act on it.
Interest codes explain 3% of career satisfaction
Across 27 studies, Holland congruence accounts for approximately 3% of variance in career satisfaction — a correlation of .17. Research stagnated not because findings were wrong, but because commercial dominance replaced scientific scrutiny.
Tsabari, Tziner & Meir (2005) · Tinsley (2000), Journal of Vocational Behavior
50–75% receive a different type within 5 weeks
MBTI measures personality type, not interest — but it has its own evidence problem. A tool that cannot produce stable results across a month cannot reliably inform a multi-decade career. The instability is documented in peer-reviewed literature, not opinion.
Pittenger (1993) · Judge & Zapata (2015)
No standard tool was designed to find innate ability
There are no meaningful correlations between measured interests and actual relevant abilities and performance. This is the finding that should have triggered a reckoning inside the career guidance industry. YDP was built to address the gap it identified.

What People Say
In their own words
Common Questıons
Before you book
How Is YDP dIfferent from MBTI or a Holland Code Assessment?
MBTI measures personality type and Holland Codes measure occupational interests. Neither was designed to measure innate ability. YDP was built specifically to find abilities — including those that have never had the opportunity to express themselves — through a human-led, non-algorithmic process.
I’m dealing with burnout, not career confusion, can YDP help?
Yes. Our wellbeing sessions are delivered by qualified practitioners and address stress and burnout directly. Where relevant, we also explore whether occupational misalignment is a contributing factor — but this is always led by what the individual needs.
Is the assessment automated or AI-generated
Neither. Every YDP assessment is 100% human-reviewed. There is no AI in the process. Genuine ability assessment requires human judgment that no algorithm currently replicates.
What age group does YDP work with?
The core assessment is appropriate for ages 15 and above. We work with school students, university students, recent graduates, and professionals at any career stage. For group workshops for younger students (14–17), contact us directly.
Is there a free version?
Yes. We offer a free 30-minute initial consultation for individuals who want to understand whether YDP is the right fit before committing. Book above or via the contact page.
